Another creation shared from the creative studio of my darling downline, LuAnn.

When she was over stamping a few weekends ago she had asked me for input on coming up with a movable 'door' for the back of the treat cups, so they can be enjoyed by the recipient, filled again and regifted. We came up with a slick fix for that so it appears as tho she has been super creative and busy ;o) YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purses! Purses!!!

A few days ago I posted the purse that I had so lovingly CASED from my darling downline, LuAnn, during our stampin' weekend.

Welllll, she has been creative in her studio ~ taking inspiration from my CASED inspiration of her own and came up with THIS! (Did you follow all of that?! lol)

LuAnn used Dusty Durango sponged with Chocolate Chip and of course Michelle's (2stampis2b) Shimmer Spray technique.

Soooo awesome LuAnn!! Soo glad you shared with me ;o) We need to get together again before all of this snow melts!!!

The moment I spotted this idea on SCS I knew I needed to try it! I had the SU! file folders on hand already as I thought they were just adorable and would be fun to use in my home office! So what a perfect idea it was to use the rest this way ;o)

Here is the link to the step by step tutorial from SCS if you'd like to make some too! No stamping involved here since the folders are already decorated!!!

Can you say adorable??? This cute purse idea came from my team member, LuAnn, during our stampin' weekend! I just had to CASE it ;o)

Just to make this one a bit more 'rittizer' I did Big Shot emboss my purse pieces and I applied a clear finish to the front and back of the purse by using the clear embossing powder. The top part, or the flap, is a piece of card stock vellum Big Shot embossed, sponged with chocolate chip ink and then Shimmer Sprayed (ohh lala ~ Thanks Michelle!)

I used a 1/2 piece of velcro to hold the flap down right under my 'button like embellies' and added the fun brad and ribbon to the side vs. a traditional purse strap for something fun and different.

This would be great for holding money or a gift card for a special occassion!

I just loved this idea the second I saw it! How simple, yet elegant! Thanks to fellow stamper Debbie Naylor for sharing her idea!

I used the SU! Card Stock Vellum and Big Shot ~ I love love love these!!
Oh and in the very last picture, on the back card I tried the 'shimmer spray' technique from Michelle Tech (2stampis2b) on the vellum --- ohhh ahhh ;o)

My nephew Jack and I recently took a trip to AZ to visit Grandpa and Grandma for a few days...oh the fun we had! Here are a few snapshots of our trip that included flying in a big plane, the zoo and swimming!!!

Just as our plane touched down back at home Jack asked me if I would make him another countdown calendar...I asked him what we were going to countdown and he suggested 'oh maybe Florida'.....lol!

This will give me a good start to get the different areas decorated around our place -- the old chevy, the garden shed, the bend in the driveway, the mailbox area...gee... Floor Tiles?

Yep! Another fun thing to do with floor tiles!

I've been busy with these lately - making a series of different family names for a gal who will distribute them at their wedding - kinda as a thank you to the people who helped them with different projects.

I made this using my Cricut die cut machine and vinyl. SUCH fun and really easy!! The tiles are about a 12x12 and are a neutral color which makes them even easier to choose your vinyl colors for. The gal that commissioned me to make these found awesome looking black iron plate stands to go along with these as well!

Look At ME!!!! Circa 1930's ~ not lookin' too shabby eh? Our project is nearly complete! My hubby is working on replacing the floor on the inside now so once that's done it will be 'done done' ;o)

I love driving by it coming in and leaving our driveway now - what a happy thing to see!!!

Either later on this fall or next spring we will move the pasture fence behind it in a bit and then landscape around it as well ;o)

Boxes n' Shutters

Tomorrow will be the 'big picture' day -- the shed completed -- so you will have to run back and compare from the first postings to the last postings. Honest! It's the same shed ;o)

Pin A Big Metal Star on Me!

I just love these 3-D metal stars -- and now I have the perfect place for one too ;o) I found this while we were out in South Dakota this summer and just had to have it -- knowing this is where I was gonna put it eventually!

Perfect Huh? Stay tuned as we are almost done with the garden shed project...you will soon see the 'full picture'!!!

Fillin' In....

...the white primer is now GONE! The painting and trim work is now done done done!

Next step will be to fill in the gap at the bottom of the building. The building is actually sitting on blocks, remember? Filling it in may deter the 'varmits' from trying to make it their home and it will also make it look much nicer!

Once the block is done around the bottom then there is the metal star along with window boxes and shutters!!!! Ohh ahhh!!!! Stay tuned for more pictures tomorrow!!!!

Paint ME!

Soo...moving on to the next step! Primer! A good coat all the way around. It soaked it right up!!
Second step of the painting process was to paint the dark green trim first, two coats! Followed by the tan color, another two coats -- here you can get a peek at what the colors will look like together ;o)

It's coming together nicely! Stay tuned for more pics in the coming days ;o)

Payn' Special Attention....

This is the most attention the shed has had in awhile but overall it's in awesome shape for being circa 1930's wouldnt you say?

We did replace some of the cedar siding where needed...these pictures were taken in that process - quite a few more boards than what is pictured here were replaced. Below the three windows, for one, was all replaced. Most of the front of the building was as well, there were a few we left near the peak as orginial.

All four windows were replaced for new - that was easier than to try and fix the ones that were in there. However, the old were just not thown away - I have plans for those too!!! ;o)

It's now time to apply a white coat of sealer and then apply a few coats of COLOR! We will be painting it the same color of our metal shed - tan and dark green. Continue to tune in tomorrow for the next step ;o)

It was a successful move - the building did not shift at all during the move. Dean did use some braces on the inside of the buliding for the move so that may have helped.

THE move!!!

Here we go! This took a little coordination between me leading and stopping traffic coming at us down the road because as you can see we needed the whole road!! My hubby drove the tractor pulling the shed and then my brother followed up the rear of the parade making sure nothing shifted or moved on the trailer.

The 1st picture is just leaving the farm. We had to take the long way around to our house - normally just a few mile trip - but because they were replacing a box culvert near our house that road is closed.

The 2nd picture is us crossing the dredge ditch bridge - a tight fit but no troubles.

The 3rd picture is just as we approached our driveway!!!

The 4th picture is pulling in to our driveway - with a sigh of relief ;o)

Once we got it home we had enough daylight to just park it on the trailer where it sat until the next afternoon when my brother was able to come back over and help us actually set it.

Here she is!!! ...before a little TLC ;o) So you are thinking to yourself...how did that even make the trip in one piece?! IT DID!!! Yeah!!! Please keep in mind circa 1930's ;o) She has done very well over the years, huh? A new roof was put on in the late 80's so that is still in good shape.

Hello Everyone!!!

I want to share with you my recent non-stamping activity ~ I'll start out with this picture to get you into the mind set of OLD ;o) These are some 'treasures' I stumbled upon as I was walking around the grove at the farm prepping for our most recent project. Cool huh? This is exactly how I found them..no staging for this picture! Even better!! ...Of course I had to take a few of these items home with me to be used in the landcaping decor for our new addition ---

For the past few years I have had my eye on an old 13' x 15' chicken coop over at the farm. The history behind this old building goes back quite a ways -- my Dad tells me that my Great Great Grandfather built it circa 1930's. It wasnt being used for anything currently and I thought it would look cute sitting at our place as a 'garden shed'. So a week ago, after spending a few nights prior getting it all cleaned out, my husband and brother loaded it up on a trailer and pulled it over to our place with a tractor via the back roads. We have spent the past week giving her a little TLC..a few new boards here and there...a coat of primer and a few coats of paint....stay tuned over the next few days of pictures along the way...it's been a fun project and it will be done in time for the Punkin' Pickin' Party this fall!!! We will continue with moving some of the pasture fence and landscaping either later this fall or next spring -- so it will be a work in process for awhile yet ;o)

Whoo hoo!! Look what arrived for me in the mail yesterday? FUN mail from Michelle ;o)

She has returned from the annual SU! convention and brought back some SU! goodies! She was soo nice to share with me ;o) A 'go green' shopping bag, a little cosmetic case and a set of 3 super cute pens. The card was go-jous too!!

Punkin' Patch 2009

Here is a peek of the punkin' patch today!! I was hoping to get pics taken last month at about the same time as I took them last year but time just got away from me!!! The patch is looking good but dry, hopefully we get some rain from mother nature this weekend to save me from pulling the water wagon along to each row!

Watching the punkins turn from green to orange are really fun -- they have really just started to do this this past week.
This year we are featuring both white and BLUE pumpkins!

We will also have the smaller pumpkins too -- per request ;o)

We have a few mounds of the Big Max pumpkins again this year too -- this one should turn out perfect since he's already sitting upright!

Watch for more pics as the patch changes ;o)

Gourd FuN

Late last summer and early fall you might recall me posting pics about our punkin' patch. THIS is what a year of drying will do, create FuN ;o)

This particular gourd is called a birdhouse gourd --I let them dry out all winter and had fun creating with them in their new dried out hard form recently!

I used a dremel tool to do the carving after I had traced the T and stars on this gourd. I then used a short string of lights and some silk leaves to finish off the decoration. This particular gourd I created for our friends out the Black Hills ~ I delivered it just this past week when we arrived at their house for an awesome week of vaca and our annual trek out to Sturgis.

Hello!!! It appears as tho I have been away for awhile by the last date I posted here on my blog but I've been around...including having fun with my niece and nephew;o)

I have been self-teaching myself on the amazing Photoshop CS program as time has allowed -- wow!!! I have soo much more to learn but here are a few pics that I have 'altered' using PS. What FUN!

This is my beautiful niece out in their flower field at the farm -- I wanted to have both color and black and white in this pic. She was sitting in her car seat and I was able to 'erase' the car seat from the pic as well!

This is my nephew Jack (see the license plate?!) making a trip around the flower field looking for just the right flower to gift to his Mom ;o) In this pic I thought it would be fun to just pull out a few of the colorful flowers as well as Jack & his license plate in color. I also burned the edges and added the text.

Here is Ava with her Grandpa -- not much done to this but added a heart and text ;o)

Here is one of my faves to date -- this is Jack waiting for the 4th of July parade to start -- and using the PS program I 'sketched' it -- how cool is that!!!??

I want to get pictures of the punkin patch taken too -- and post them about the same time of year as I had posted last years growing season pics. So stay tuned for those!!!

Instructions:

1. Score lines on Baja Breeze textured card stock (6" x 6") at 2" and 4" both horizontally and vertically. Score a diagonal line in each corner square from the outside tip to the interior corner. Fold all horizontal and vertical score lines in. Fold diagonal score lines so that “triangles” are outside of box. Fold triangles toward each other on two sides of the box and staple to assemble box.
2. Stamp “Thinking of you” in More Mustard ink on So Saffron card stock (1" x 1-7/8").
3. Stamp tree trunk image in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock (1-3/8" x 1-7/8"). Stamp dotted tree image in Old Olive Craft ink on chipboard circle and let dry. Adhere to top of tree trunk.
4. Adhere Whisper White card stock piece to So Saffron card stock. Adhere piece to box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. Tie Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in a knot and adhere to box.

6. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

3. Stamp small stem image in Kiwi Kiss ink on Whisper White card stock (2-5/8" x 1-3/4"). Ink bird image with Pacific Point ink. Carefully wipe ink from legs and beak and color with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write marker. Stamp image on Whisper White card stock. Stamp “Hello there” in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock. Adhere to card.
4. Stamp heart image in VersaMark ink on Real Red card stock. Cover with Clear Stampin’ Emboss powder and heat emboss. Cut out heart and adhere to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. Distress Chocolate Chip card stock (3" x 1/4") and adhere to card. Staple both ends of card stock to card.

6. Enjoy!!!

2. Ink “Authentic” image with Regal Rose ink. Stamp off once then stamp on box lid. Ink “Genuine” and “Top secret” images with Chocolate Chip ink. Stamp off once then stamp on box lid. Assemble box.
3. Punch circle from Old Olive card stock using 1-1/4" Circle punch. Distress circle.
4. Stamp “Certified” image in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White and Rose Red card stock. Punch out image from Whisper White card stock using 1" Circle punch. Cut out “Certified” from Rose Red card stock and adhere to Whisper White circle. Adhere Whisper White circle to Old Olive circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere piece to box lid using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. Enjoy!!!

2. Tie Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain ribbon around matchbox.
3. Stamp “I love you” image in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut out and punch hole through image using 1/16" Circle punch. Thread linen thread through hole and tie around ribbon on box. Secure card stock to box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4. Punch heart from Chocolate Chip Patterns Designer Series paper using Heart to Heart punch. Sand edges of wide heart and adhere to box cover using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

4. Tie Pumpkin Pie 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to clip from Clips assortment. Attach clip to front of box. Stamp heart image in Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White card stock. Punch out heart using 1/2" Circle punch and adhere to clip and box.

SCS is such an awesome place to visit for any sort of stampin' inspiration! I totally loved this idea when I saw it and thought of Sista' Mike first as I know she loves loves loves Ghirardelli chocolates.

Nothing's better than chocolate for a quick pick-me-up for a friend, and nothing's cuter (or easier) than packaging square chocolates in this tiny box for a quick gift.

I have been busy the past few nights getting ready for the first demo class of the SAB 2009 season ;o) Yeah!!!!

I have soo many wonderful samples that I will be sharing with you soon ~ all from other SU! demos that participated in a swap that I recently hosted over on SCS. I snapped a few pictures tonight with the hopes of getting them posted but they just didnt turn out very well due to the lighting so I will try that again...but in the meantime I do know that Michelle (SCS: mtech) has posted her contributions to the swap to her blog -- so I will share that link with you tonight so you can check out her masterpieces here and here!!

Upsy Daisy Gift Bag

I completed this for an upcoming demo as the 3-D project of the night. It's just a very simple bag project -- one made with the white bags you can pick up at your supermarket. This same technique could also be used to apply to the front of the white SU! gift bags as well -- just cut to the specs of your fave bag ;o)

I used the SU! DSP Bella Rose and the IC Kiwi Kiss flavors for this project! I also highlighted the fun build a brads ~ you feel so accomplished after making one of those...and they are soo easy!!! The handles of the bag are simply just pieces of the same DSP paper cut - I think I cut these at 3/4" wide. It's hard to see in the picture but I used the rough edge tool of the cutter kit to go around the kiwi kiss stamped design - just to add a bit more texture to the project.

Inspired by Nature

Why or why did one of my fave stamp sets, Inspired by Nature, have to be put on the 'dormant list'??? I will just take that as one more reason why I MUST demo it -- to then explain the dormant list with everyone ;o)

This was a fun card to create ~ the what is actually embossed and it really makes it pop! I figured this one could be used for a guy birthday or celebration too!!

The 'let's celebrate' is popped up with a few stampin' dimensionals for added depth and effect!

Instructions 1. Stamp Sanded background image in VersaMark ink on So Saffron card. 2. Punch hole approximately 1" from right edge of front of card using Crop-A-Dile. Wrap Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon around left edge of card and through hole and adhere inside of card. Tie a second piece of Old Olive ribbon in a knot and adhere over hole. 3. Stamp 5-petal flower image in Ruby Red ink on Ruby Red card stock. Punch out using 5-Petal Flower punch. Stamp image again in Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock. Punch out center of flower using 1/2" Circle punch. Attach Silver brad through center of circle and adhere circle to center of Ruby Red flower. 4. Cut stem from Old Olive card stock and adhere to Bashful Blue card stock (2-1/2" x 4-1/4"). Adhere flower to Bashful Blue card stock using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 5. Stamp “For you” in Basic Black ink on Old Olive card stock (2-1/2" x 1"). Cut top edge of Old Olive card stock repeatedly to look like grass. Adhere strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock (2-1/2" x 1/8") to bottom edge of Old Olive card stock. Adhere Old Olive card stock to Bashful Blue card stock. 6. Adhere Bashful Blue card stock to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Instructions1. Fold Bashful Blue card stock (8-1/2" x 8-1/2") in half to create triangle. Fold front of triangle down so that tip of flap is approximately 1/2" from bottom edge. Fold right side of triangle in so that top edge of side is even with the top edge of flap. Repeat with left side. Pull right and left sides back and pull flap up, then fold sides in and fold flap over. 2. Stamp dots image repeatedly in VersaMark ink on inside of pouch. Wrap Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon around pouch and adhere.3. Round corners of Pretty in Pink card stock (3" x 2") using 3/16" Corner Rounder punch. Adhere Old Olive card stock (3" x 1/4") to Pretty in Pink card stock. 4. Stamp “A little yummy for your tummy” in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White card stock. Cut out image. Stamp heart image in Rose Red ink on Rose Red card stock. Cut out heart and adhere to yummy piece. Adhere to Pretty in Pink card stock using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere entire piece to Bashful Blue pouch using Stampin’ Dimensionals. 5. Tie Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in a knot and adhere to left side of pouch.
