Scratch 'n Sniff

Here is a fun summer stampin' project to try! It's brought to us by our friends over at Splitcoaststampers -- you know one of my favorite cyber places!!

Adding a fruity fragrance to stamped images is easy with this tried-and-true technique. Try using cocoa or cinnamon for a different smell, or pigment ink for a more vivid color.

Supplies you'll need for this project:
Solid image stamp
Clear embossing powder
Sugar-free drink powder
Embossing tool
VersaMark™

Here is a link to the tutorial over at SCS

This card was created by Beate ~ a famous stamper over on SCS ;o)

Happy Summer!!!

Ribbit!

My Aunt CJ had sent this cute little froggie post it note to me and asked what my ideas were to incorporate it into the acrylic 6X4 frames ~ she is gonna make up some fun gifts with the pens to give to her girlfriends. This is my idea to share with her ;o)
As you can see the post it note is actually the same size as the frame - it all worked out ok though! I pulled out some colors from the post it note to complete this project....also trying to keep in mind of the supplies that my Aunt had already so she could complete this!! I know she doesnt have the 'It's a good time' stamp set so I went ahead and stamped/embossed some of those images for her and sent them her way ;o)

Check out the awesome tutorial for this Acrylic Post It Note holder project over on SCS!

Here is a list of supplies used for this fun project!
More Mustard cardstock
Old Olive cardstock
Elegant Eggplant stampin pad
Weathered background stamp
It's all good stamp set
double stitched purely pomegranate ribbon
Polytwill Old Olive ribbon
Black Embossing powder
1 1/4" square punch

It's OUT!!

The Stampin' UP! retired list that is!!

After years of dedicated service, the following stamp sets from the Spring-Summer Collection 2008 are retiring. So, let's give them a big sendoff and wish them all the best as they begin a new chapter in their lives. But don't wait too long--they're only available through August 10, 2008, and then they're headed to warmer climes!

You can view the list here -- it can be printed out/viewed by either ABC order or numerical -- whichever you prefer! (I like the numerical because then I just go from page to page with the catalog in front of me!)

Please let me know if there is anything you want from the list before they are g-o-n-e!!

Auntie CJ was commissioned...

...by her neighborhood gals to create this card! My Aunt CJ has been featured here on my blog before and I must continue to publish her creations! I am soo proud of her -- she has only been stamping a few months and doing such a wonderful job!! WOW!!

The only sad thing is she is sooo far away from me in distance -- she lives in NC. But the fun thing is we communicate very regularaly via email AND she knows how to send pics so it's like we 'virtually' stamp together ;o))

Keep up the wonderful work Auntie CJ -- that bow looks just awesome too -- better than my bows...oh that's right I DONT do bows I do knots cuz' my bows dont evah' turn out this perfect ;o)
