Sweet Treats

Valentines Day is quickly approaching and it will be here before we know it! Today I have been busy creating little treat bags and I thought I would share with you what I am doing! I am making these for my upcoming SU! hostesses as well as friends and family.

Special thanks to SCS'er Donna Cook for her inspiration on these cute, fun and sweet lil' bags!

I used the medium cello bags and cut them down so they were not so tall. The cardstock includes basic black, whisper white and real red. I used my scoring blade in my SU! fiscars cutter to score the top of the basic black cardstock for a nice (and fast!) fold. The stamp set is the 'riveting' hostess set stamped on whisper white with basic black ink and then again in real red just for the heart. I punched it out using one of the SU! circle punches. The heart was stamped and punched out with the smaller circle punch and was applied with a stampin' dimensional to 'pop' it up ~ I then just ran the silver cord around twice ~ how simple! I attached the bag topper with two staples and I did that under the real red so it wouldnt show on the front.

These are super simple and easy ~ and sooo much fun!!

Hostess Gifts

Happy TGIF 2U!!

Ever since SCS posted the tutorial for the Acrylic Post It Note Holders I have had fun making these for different little gifts. ---Have I mentioned yet how much I love the SCS website?! lol

I try to do a bit extra for my hostesses because I appreciate them soo! For this (catalog) year I decided they would each get one of these. (styles will vary but I think I will go with the same theme)...I will incorporate their Name initial...to personalize it a bit. So, for instance, the demo I did the other night (sorry no pic!) I incorporated a stamped "S" as my hostess name was Sharon. I used the SU! Four Seasons printed paper pack--the blue snowflake theme for hers. I present them to the hostess at the beginning of the demo and quickly explain how to make them, offering them more detailed directions later if they wish. Sharon thought she would make a few for upcoming Holiday gifts.
