Baby, It's Cold Outside!!

Cold but pretty! I snapped these pictures on Sunday after going down the lane to get our Sunday papers out of the mailbox. It was just foggy/frosty enough over night that everything was coated white!

Our poor little truck that we decorate for the seaons looks soo cold and alone! You can check out the fall pictures of our truck back on my blog from, I believe, Fall 2006 - boy does time fly!

Ok, back to trying to stay warm out of the elements today!!

New Years Eve ~ Finally Snow!!!

I know...I know....this is not a stamping project...well not really... but I have been waiting allll Holiday season for a day like this to get some pics of our version of 'loads of love' here on our acerage. Today was the day for pictures as it was 'dressed' for the Christmas season! It took this long to get snow here in Iowa...believe it or not!!! It started to snow on New Years Eve afternoon and continued till' after dark. We were able to get these pics New Years Day morning before it all melted ~

My DH agreed to keep the tree and presents in the truck till' it snowed...even if it was after Christmas! Now Santa is sitting in the drivers seat there, but the snow on the window is blocking the view just a bit here...I didnt want to walk up and clear the window for the pic as that may disrupt the ground with my foot prints for the picture...oh what dilemmas !! lol

Now tonight, the tree and packages are gone and we are dreaming of what could be next ..... I have consulted the IB&C Loads of Love accessories and it shows hearts for Valentine's Day...but I am looking for more ideas...anyone?! I would love to hear what ideas you have for the bed of our version of the 'loads of love' truck!!!

Autumn thoughts & creations

This is getting wayyy off the rubbah' thoughts and creations but I guess it tis' my blog eh'? lol

My DH and I live out on Iowa family farmland on the edge of timber. We have no close neighbors to speak of. (ahh!!) This fall we went over to my parents place, only about 4 miles away, and brought home one of my Dad's old trucks from the grove -- I wanted to use it as a 'decoration' in our big yard---on the edge of the timber! In the spring and summer the truck bed will be a 'flower bed'! For now Mr. Scarecrow is occupying the drivers seat and the bed is full of hay bales and punkins'. Soon Santa will take the drivers seat and he will be hauling trees and gifts.

At night it is illuminated by a few spotlights on the outside as well as one on the inside of the cab ~~ it's been a fun addition to our acerage!
